Originally summarized on Twitter. One In An ARMY is extremely proud to announce the results of our October 2022 flash campaign, Reach Out With Jimin, benefiting Reaching Out Romania in honour of Jimin's birthday!
The Reaching Out shelter and their work is about saving and improving lives. Since 1998 they have been serving the victims of one of most hideous crimes the humanity has ever witnessed: trafficking in people.
Over the years they have assisted 470 victims, mostly Romanian women and girls who have been enslaved and abused in many European countries. They helped many to initiate or continue their studies, to seek jobs or do whatever it took for them to rebuild their lives. They also realized that building a future for the victims of trafficking required them to get involved in efforts to change both legislation and mentalities.
For this campaign 375 ARMY raised $9,772! This helped Reaching Out Romania provide clothes, food, stationary, social services, celebrations on holidays and birthdays, and pay the bills for the center for a couple of months!
Our friends at Reaching Out Romania have sent a letter to BTS and Big Hit to let them know about how much ARMY helped this month.
