One In An ARMY is extremely proud to announce the results of our August 2020 campaign, Jiyan With JK, benefiting Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights in honour of Jungkook's birthday!
The One In An ARMY team reworked the birthday campaign model for the 2020/2021 birthday season. The causes were once again picked by ARMY via a survey to determine the list of finalists, and through Twitter polls to determine the winning cause for each member (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7). Instead of running month long campaigns, the actual donation period will be a 5 day flash fundraiser (starting 5 days before each members' birthday). During the birthday months (September, October, December, February, and March) the only campaign will be the flash fundraiser accompanied by a month long, birthday themed game/bonus mission. The most voted cause for Jungkook's birthday was refugee support.
The Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights is a non-profit organization in Iraq that supports the victims of torture, persecution and violence and survivors of human rights violations. They also maintain a healing garden next to the treatment center in Chamchamal, Iraq that is used to create a safe space for people from different backgrounds to come and heal together through participating in unique therapies.
In 5 days, 1132 ARMY raised €18,360 – enough to fund 5 months of upkeep for the healing garden!

This was our first time fundraising through Tiltify, and also marked our first livestream on Tiltify/Twitch. The fundraising page for Jiyan Foundation will remain open to continue accepting donations, and we might continue using Tiltify and their livestream function for future campaigns!
And as always, a letter was sent to Jungkook and Big Hit Entertainment filling them in on what ARMY accomplished in just 5 days!
At the end of Jungkook's flash-donation campaign, we launched the non-monetary bonus mission: Journey to ARMYtopia. This ongoing challenge will run during every birthday month until April 2021. Each challenge will use a different platform that allows ARMY to donate to charity without spending their own money.
