Current Campaign

One In An ARMY is proud to announce our flash fundraiser, Shine Bright With Hope, to support Tap Elderly Women’s Wisdom for Youth (TEWWY) in honour of Hoseok's birthday! The donation period officially began at 11:00 pm KST on February 13th, 2021. Donations will help TEWWY expand their interpersonal therapy circles, with capacity building, and training more Wellness Counselors. Everything listed in steps 3-5 under our individual giving instructions is optional, but extremely helpful for us to track donation amounts as we have no other way to see how much ARMY has donated (see our FAQ for a full explanation). Our hashtag for the month is #ShineBrightWithHope. The minimum donation amount $1.00 USD when donating with a credit card and $10.00 USD when donating with PayPal.

How To Donate

Step 1) Visit One In An ARMY's GivenGain page if donating with credit card, or our GlobalGiving page if donating with PayPal.

Step 2) Donate $1.00 USD or more if donating through GivenGain or $10.00 USD or more if donating through GlobalGiving.

Step 3) Take a screenshot of your donation watermark with your twitter @. Please make sure donation amount is VISIBLE but strike out any personal information (see example screenshot below).

Step 4) Submit this form. The form is especially important now. Due to COVID-19 many non-profits are overwhelmed and might not be able to track donations for us like they normally do.

Step 5) Quote-tweet our pinned tweet or write your own tweet about the campaign using #ShineBrightWithHope. Don't forget to check out the February update of our non-monetary Bonus Mission: Journey to ARMYtopia!

About Tap Elderly Women’s Wisdom for Youth

From TEWWY's website:

Tap Elderly Women’s Wisdom for Youth is a Nongovernmental Organization based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania that is working to document and share the wisdom of elderly women, to meet the needs of undeserved communities.  Through tapping into the power of story telling, mobile technology, one-on-one support and life skills building, we work with the community to identify & develop the people, tools and content they need to create the change they want to see.

As the Chinese philosopher Laozi stated, “Those who understand others are clever, those who understand themselves are wise.” Our focus on tapping into stories and truth-sharing comes from a belief that instead of giving advice, people hold the power to change their own lives. We use wisdom as a tool to inspire and empower  into their own intuition to make the best decision for their physical, emotional & social wellbeing.
